Isle of Skye II

After the beautiful end of the previous day, our second day in the isle didn’t start so well. The weather was very humid, the clouds were very low and dark and soon the drizzle and mist became a heavy rain. We spent that day exploring the northern and western part of Skye, where we saw the most dramatic landscape in the isle and in Scotland. Our route that day included the most diverse landscapes: the turquoise waters of the Coral beaches of Claigan and the beautiful castle of Dunvegal; the green hills of the magical Fairy Glen; the impressive willowy mountains of the Quiraings and the Old Man of Storr; the cliffs of Kilt Rock…

Because of the weather, we missed a few things of my bucket list for that day. Even if we couldn’t enjoy the magnificent and famous views from the Old Man of Storr or the beautiful port of Portree, the gloomy atmosphere and bad weather made the landscape of Skye even more beautiful.
