Color for grey days

This last week has been a bit boring in Dublin. It’s been raining and very cloudy lately and it has affected my mood during the last days… The result: I haven’t felt very inspired to take photographs lately. Fortunately, I’m going to Spain in a few days. I know that after a few sunny and hot days with my family and friends I’m going to feel more inspired: I love Madrid and Spain and I’ll probably have more opportunities to go out and explore with my camera. I’m looking forward to it! But I didn’t want to leave Dublin with this feeling, so this weekend I decided to go to a place where there is always something beautiful: the National Botanic Gardens of Ireland.

A bit apart from the busy city center, the National Botanic Gardens is a gem between the Dublin parks. Not as crowded as St. Stephen’s Green, there are lovely paths with plants, trees and beautiful seasonal flowers from all over the world. Founded in 1795, it has also two of the most impressive and well conserved glasshouses in Europe. A perfect place in the city to relax and find my inspiration again.
