Dublin at Christmas

Is that time of the year again! Christmas is here!! If you have followed my blog since the beginning, then you already know that I love Christmas and even more since I have my SLR. I know that there are a lot of people that think that Christmas is now more about consumerism than any other thing, but I resist to believe it. For me, it’s time to go home and spend time with my family and friends after months without seeing them. And I do love all the display of lights and decorations in the cities. Even if they are meant to attract consumers and tourists to the city centre or main shopping areas, I think all the cities want to look at their best during the coldest and darkest days of the year. And they look so pretty! It is so nice to go out and photograph the streets during the Christmas season!

Last year I showed you a few pictures I took in Dublin during the Christmas season. This year the city has more or less the same decorations. There are a lot of works on the streets and some of the most iconic places in the city have been left without decorations. I’ve been wandering around the city centre trying to discover new beautiful places to photograph and show you. I hope you like the result!

And MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! 🙂

  1. Hmmmm…I’m trying to find the follow link that is down at the right hand corner of WP pages…BUT WP won’t allow me access to the link unless I push a ‘close and accept cookies’ icon…that is hovering over your ‘follow me’ link. You have nothing to do with this…I’m a bit disappointed with WP. I would have followed you. I’ll figure out another way.

    1. Hi! Thanks for all your comments! Well, you can press “ok” in the banner. WordPress uses cookies just as a way to allow bloggers to know how many views they get and where those views come from, but that’s all (I just put the banner because in Europe you have to tell in advance to all readers…. and I was a lawyer, so I felt a bit bad for not using the banner, hahahaha). Otherwise, if you go to the main page of my blog, you’ll see three lines at the right top of the page. If you press there, a menu will open and you’ll an option for following the blog if you scroll down 🙂
