The other day I went for a walk in Uetliberg. I’ve already told you about this place, the very own mountain of Zurich (in winter and autumn). It’s so close to my apartment that sometimes I feel it’s like my huge garden. This is the place to go when you need to disconnect from the city life or just when you don’t have a plan and you just want to wander…
This time, the weather couldn’t be more wintry. There wasn’t snow (it had snowed not so long ago, but the rain had melted all the snow), but it was very cold and foggy. It was a bit dark and the fog created a mysterious and phantasmagorical atmosphere. It was so cold that all the high branches of the trees were covered in white frost, which made the view even spookier. But it was a beautiful sight with all these unsaturated grey and orange tones of the forest.

Thanks a million!!! Yes, I feel very privileged to have this forest so close to where I live. And every time I go there is like a new place, it always looks different! That day was amazing, supercold, super eerie but fascinating! 😊

Beautiful fog photos; so moody. I love shooting in the fog. In Sacramento, we have the Tule fog. It can hug the ground, be suspended in mid air or cover the landscape.

I’m not really used to take this kind of photos… It wasn’t that foggy in Dublin (I think I only saw very thick fog twice or three times in the three years I spent there), so I didn’t really had the chance…
But now, here in Switzerland there are more foggy mornings. I suppose it’s because of the lakes and the cold mountains! Here I can even take photos of morning ground floor from my window!! I’ll post them, it was a beautiful morning a few days ago…
